Bengaluru T2 pickup without an app: agree the person, vehicle and meeting point

For parents who cannot use a ride-hailing app, arrange a named service and a clear T2 handover. A driver with a name board and a vehicle allowed at the kerb are different things.

If parents cannot use a ride-hailing app after landing at Bengaluru Terminal 2, arrange the pickup around a named service and an agreed passenger meeting point. Do not make “open the app after landing” the only way they can find the car.

A pre-booked transfer can work without the traveller managing an app, but only when the provider has accepted the actual arrangement. Confirm who meets the passenger, where they meet and how the family reaches the vehicle. A name-board promise alone does not answer all three.

Get a no-app arrangement accepted before travel

Give the provider the flight number, local arrival date, actual terminal, passenger count, bags and destination entrance. Ask how the arriving traveller identifies the representative without an app and how the provider handles a delayed arrival or an unanswered phone.

Keep the response with the parents on paper as well as with the person booking. Ask for the service contact and the booking reference. A hotel or transfer company saying “airport pickup included” is not yet a precise T2 handover.

One official service contact to investigate

KSTDC’s own airport-taxi page publishes a call number, 080-4466-4466, and airport-taxi contact details. It describes its airport-to-city service and says payment is made at the end with a printed electronic receipt.

Use that page as a service lead, not a confirmed reservation. Ask KSTDC whether it can accept the actual no-app request, which service and meeting point apply at T2, the vehicle and full current price. This guide has not confirmed a staffed counter’s exact position, live car availability or an advance booking for you. It does not reproduce the undated fare table as a current quote.

Separate the representative from the vehicle

Ask where a representative may meet the passenger and where the car will board them. If a driver offers a name board in arrivals, ask whether that means a meet-and-greet person walks to the passenger while the car stays in designated parking. Do not assume the vehicle can wait beside an exit.

An airport-authored notice published by ACI Asia-Pacific on 3 December 2025 announced arrival-lane changes from 8 December 2025 and directed commercial T2 vehicles to P2 parking. It is a dated warning against treating every pickup as a kerbside stop, not a live guarantee of today’s bay or parking terms. Ask current airport staff and the provider which point applies now.

If the family cannot find the person

Agree a staffed meeting point and a fallback contact before anyone separates to look for the car. Ask airport transport staff to help identify the authorised service and current boarding point. Do not follow an unsolicited offer simply because the person knows a hotel name.

Match the representative, driver and vehicle through the provider’s confirmation. If a replacement is sent, have the service confirm it. A placard with the passenger’s name is useful, but not independent proof that the vehicle is the booked one.

Confirm the route for the parent, not just the car

Ask about the actual path from arrivals to the vehicle, any changes of level or steps, and who handles the bags. If wheelchair help is needed, confirm the assistance endpoint and onward handover rather than assuming the airport chair continues to the taxi.

This guide verifies no particular lift, walking distance, accessible vehicle or continuous escort. A larger car does not by itself establish suitable boarding for a traveller with reduced mobility.

Settle the full transfer terms

Confirm passenger and bag fit, total price, applicable tolls or airport charges, payment method, waiting and cancellation terms. Do not assume no surge means no other charge, or flight tracking means unlimited free waiting.

Keep the hotel arrival arrangement attached. Parents should know the destination entrance and whom to contact if the hotel cannot receive them at the expected time.

TripKeeper’s no-app handover check

Our suggested family note has the flight/date, T2 confirmation, service/reference, passenger meeting point, vehicle boarding point and named helper. It should work when the arriving phone has no data or the traveller does not want to manage an app.

The aim is a complete handover, not a parent standing outside with a printout while six relatives send different parking pins.

Sources and limits

Checked 4 November 2026: KSTDC airport taxi and airport-authored arrival measures, published 3 December 2025. The KSTDC page is an undated service description; the airport notice is dated historical context. Neither confirms your actual booking, present bay, parking allowance or accessible route. Follow current airport staff and actual provider instructions.

Questions on this article

asked by readers, answered by us

Can parents use a pickup without managing an app?

Arrange an actual no-app handover with the provider: named service, reference, passenger meeting point and fallback contact. It is not confirmed until the provider accepts it.

Does a name board mean the car can wait at the exit?

No. Separate the representative’s meeting point from the vehicle boarding point and confirm current airport directions.

Is P2 confirmed as my exact T2 pickup bay today?

No. The airport-authored December2025 notice is historical context. Ask current staff and the actual provider for the present point.

Is the KSTDC phone number a reservation?

No. Its official page is a contact lead. Ask the service to confirm availability, no-app handling, current meeting point and full terms.

Is an accessible route or escort guaranteed?

No particular route, lift, vehicle boarding method or continuous escort is verified here. Confirm the actual traveller’s needs.

Does flight tracking mean unlimited free waiting?

Do not assume so. Confirm the provider’s delay, waiting, price and cancellation terms for the actual booking.
