A shared shuttle can save a solo traveller money, but a family with several cases should read its conditions before comparing prices. This guide uses Barri Ann's own Da Nang Airport-to-Hoi An service as one specific example, not as a rule for every shuttle.
The pickup is at domestic arrivals
Barri Ann lists Arrival Gate A4 at the domestic terminal as the airport pickup. It lists several Hoi An stops, including its 30/2 Tran Hung Dao office and selected city and beach stops. Confirm the point on your actual booking before setting off from international arrivals.
A hotel-door pickup or drop is not guaranteed. The operator asks for such requests 14 hours before departure and says only properties along the route can be served; otherwise it advises a nearby point. Work out that remaining walk with your bags before paying.
Read the luggage allowance carefully
The page allows one listed 24-inch suitcase, with a maximum 20 kg weight, and one small personal bag per passenger. It also gives dimensions 22 x 11 x 9 inches, which do not match the 24-inch label cleanly. Send the actual case dimensions to the operator if you are near the limit rather than choosing whichever description is more generous.
Extra luggage may be refused or charged when space is insufficient. Do not assume an airline allowance transfers to the shuttle. A large family should compare the total fare and all bags against a suitable private car, with the vehicle capacity confirmed.
A delayed flight does not guarantee a waiting bus
The operator says the airport bus leaves on schedule. It recommends a departure 45 minutes to 1 hour after flight arrival, but that is not a personal guarantee that immigration and baggage will finish in that time. Choose with your actual arrival situation in mind.
Tell the operator promptly about a flight change and provide delay evidence when requested. If the driver has left, the next departure is subject to available seats. Seats are randomly assigned, and seating your group together is not guaranteed.
Check cancellation before buying
The operator page shows conflicting cancellation descriptions, including a no-cancellation summary and different detailed windows. This guide therefore does not promise free cancellation. Obtain the terms attached to your actual booking before payment and keep them.
A private car may reduce the wait, luggage uncertainty and hotel leg, but only if those details are included in its quote. Confirm pickup, flight-delay waiting, exact hotel entrance, passengers, bags and total. No universal road time or fixed Hoi An car fare is verified here.
