The right choice depends on the hotel's actual address, your bags and how easily the group can manage stairs and transfers. RER B can suit a hotel reached by a manageable rail route. A properly licensed taxi can reduce luggage handling, but road traffic still affects the journey.

Reach the correct airport rail station

RATP lists Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 1 for terminals 1 and 3, with CDGVAL connecting terminal 1. Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2 serves terminal 2 and connects to the TGV station. Read the terminal number, not just the airport name.

Terminal 2 is a collection of halls, not one door. RATP directs terminal 2G travellers to the N2 shuttle from 2F. Include reaching the rail station, buying and validating the ticket, train changes and the final hotel walk in the comparison.

Use the 2026 rail ticket, not an old fare

Île-de-France Mobilités lists the Paris Region <> Airports Ticket at €14 full price or €7 for eligible reduced-fare travellers from 1 January 2026. It covers the RER B airport journey and eligible metro/train/RER connections within its conditions, on a Navigo Easy pass or supported smartphone.

It allows connections for two hours from first validation without leaving the network. It does not cover Île-de-France buses or trams. Do not assume a bus to the hotel's door is included, or that a lower fare on an older airport article is current. Check ticket media cost and any onward journey separately.

Licensed taxi: understand the fixed-fare boundary

The French government's 2026 taxi notice lists direct Parisian-taxi trips between CDG and Paris at €56 for the right bank and €65 for the left bank. These are the specified direct airport/Paris fares, not a universal price to suburbs, Disneyland or every place marketed as Paris.

The notice separately lists Parisian-taxi reservation supplements of €4 for immediate booking and €7 for advance booking, plus a €5.50 passenger supplement from the fifth person. Confirm the actual pickup, destination, vehicle capacity and applicable total. Do not apply regulated taxi fares to every app/private-hire product.

Compare the whole group and the whole route

For rail, add the eligible fare for each traveller and any onward cost. For road, confirm a vehicle that genuinely fits passengers and cases and get the full applicable amount. Neither an empty-seat count nor the phrase standard taxi establishes luggage capacity.

The airport RER stations are described as accessible by Île-de-France Mobilités, but that does not prove every onward metro station, hotel entrance or interchange is step-free. Check the exact chain of access if lifts are essential. Do not choose the cheapest headline if the final walk cannot be managed.

Before leaving arrivals

Check current rail service and your actual destination station, or follow official airport directions for a licensed taxi. Keep the hotel address and entrance available offline. This guide does not promise an all-night train, a fixed road journey time or a live quote for your trip.

Quick questions

What is the 2026 airport rail ticket price? The authority lists €14 full price and €7 only for eligible reduced-fare travellers.

Does that ticket include the hotel bus? Not Île-de-France buses or trams. Check the final leg separately.

Is every CDG taxi trip €56? No. The direct Parisian-taxi fare depends on the Paris bank and scope.

Are all onward stations step-free? Airport access does not establish access for the whole route.
