Delhi to Cambodia: Flight route

Written by The Trip Keeper team Content updated 30 Oct 2026 Facts last checked 30 Oct 2026
The short answer

No airline flies nonstop from Delhi to Cambodia; the usual route is one stop via Bangkok, Singapore or Kuala Lumpur, roughly 8 to 11 hours total to Phnom Penh (KTI) or Siem Reap (SAI). India's only nonstop into Cambodia is IndiGo's Kolkata to Siem Reap flight, three times a week in about 3 hours, so routing via Kolkata is worth checking too. Fly into Phnom Penh's new Techo airport (KTI, opened September 2025) for the capital and coast, or Siem Reap (SAI) for Angkor Wat.

Layovers

  • Kolkata (CCU)
  • Bangkok (BKK)
  • Kuala Lumpur (KUL)
  • Singapore (SIN)

Bangkok gives the most flight choices and the shortest total journey. Kuala Lumpur is usually cheapest on AirAsia. Singapore is the most comfortable transit. Via Kolkata, IndiGo's nonstop to Siem Reap (3x weekly) is the only way to reach Cambodia on a single Indian-operated leg - check the weekday it flies before planning around it.

When to book

Compare the Delhi-Phnom Penh and Delhi-Siem Reap routes on a search engine before booking: prices swing widely by hub, and the Kolkata nonstop often beats them all if its 3x-weekly schedule fits. For Angkor trips, flying into Siem Reap (SAI) saves the 5-6 hour road transfer from Phnom Penh.

For parents and seniors

For parents, the fewest airport changes win: a single Bangkok layover on Thai Airways, or Singapore on Singapore Airlines, keeps walking and queues low. Request wheelchair assistance at booking. Siem Reap airport (SAI) is about an hour from town and Phnom Penh's Techo airport (KTI) about 40-60 minutes - arrange hotel pickup in advance.
