Delhi to South Korea: Flight route

Written by The Trip Keeper team Content updated 30 Oct 2026 Facts last checked 30 Oct 2026
The short answer

Two airlines fly nonstop from Delhi to Seoul Incheon - Korean Air and Air India - in about 7 hours 30 minutes. That makes Korea one of the easier long-haul trips from Delhi: board after dinner, land mid-morning. For Busan or Jeju, connect in Seoul or fly one-stop via another Asian hub. Korea is 3 hours 30 minutes ahead of India.

Layovers

  • Singapore (SIN)
  • Hong Kong (HKG)
  • Hanoi (HAN)

The two nonstops are hard to beat for Seoul. For Busan or Jeju, either take the nonstop to Incheon and connect (KTX train to Busan or a short flight to Jeju), or fly one-stop via Singapore or Hong Kong. Vietnam hubs usually price lowest but add hours.

When to book

Korean Air and Air India both sell the Delhi-Incheon nonstop on their websites; compare both, as fares move differently. Book early for cherry blossom season (late March to early April) and autumn foliage (October to early November).

For parents and seniors

The 7 hour 30 minute nonstop is the easy option for parents - request wheelchair assistance at booking and use the AREX express train or a pre-booked car from Incheon rather than wrestling bags through connections.

How long is the flight from Delhi to Seoul?

About 7 hours 30 minutes nonstop. One-stop routings via Singapore, Hong Kong or Vietnam take roughly 11 to 16 hours depending on the connection.

Do Indians need a visa for South Korea?

Yes - Indians need a tourist visa arranged before travel through the Korean embassy or its visa centres; there is no visa on arrival for ordinary Indian passports. See our South Korea visa guide for the process and documents. (Jeju island has a separate visa-waiver scheme for some direct arrivals, but it does not apply when you route via Seoul.)

Korea is 3 hours 30 minutes ahead of India: UTC+9 versus UTC+5:30. An evening departure from Delhi lands in Seoul mid-morning local time.

How do I get from Incheon airport to Seoul?

How do I add Busan or Jeju to the trip?

Fly the nonstop to Incheon, then take the KTX high-speed train from Seoul to Busan (about 2.5 to 3 hours) or a short domestic flight to Jeju. Alternatively, fly one-stop internationally straight into Busan (PUS).
