A gate number on an earlier boarding pass or screenshot may no longer tell you where to board. When a change is announced, confirm that it concerns your flight, then work out the actual route. Do not follow a crowd simply because it is moving quickly.

Match the flight, not only the destination
Compare the flight number, destination and departure information on the current airport screen. If your ticket has a marketing flight number and another operator, ask airline staff to identify the listing. A familiar destination alone is not enough when several flights are leaving for the same city.
If the app, screen and boarding pass disagree, ask the airline at a staffed gate or service desk. Treat an old screenshot as a reference, not a live instruction. Record the corrected gate in a way everyone travelling with you understands.
Find the new route
Delhi Airport’s terminal maps list boarding gates and facilities, with maps available on devices and at on-ground information kiosks. Use the map for your actual terminal and follow current signs. A gate change is not automatically a terminal change.
Ask about lifts or assistance if the new route creates more walking than someone can manage. Do not guess a walking time from gate numbers, or assume a nearby-numbered gate is on the same level.
Keep the airline deadline in view
IndiGo’s current check-in page says boarding gates close 25 minutes before departure and that travellers must follow the time given at check-in or subsequent airport announcements. This is an IndiGo example, not a universal deadline for every airline.
A changed gate does not by itself mean a later departure or extra boarding time. Go promptly once the new gate is confirmed. If mobility or another practical problem prevents you reaching it, tell airline staff immediately rather than waiting for the final call.
Keep companions together
Check that every companion has understood the change before leaving the old meeting point. If someone is in a restroom or receiving assistance, tell a staff member the situation and agree how the group will reconnect.
At the new gate, confirm the flight again before joining the queue. This guide does not establish compensation or protection for a missed flight; it helps you act on a change while the airline can still assist.
