For a Mumbai Aqua Line journey to Terminal 2, start with the official station named CSMI Airport - T2, then confirm the currently usable exit and the whole route to your required terminal entrance. The station name is a starting point, not a promise that stepping off the train puts you at check-in. No fixed walking time, luggage-friendly route or working-lift guarantee is established here.
Identify the T2 station, not a similar airport name
The official MMRCL station page is titled CSMI Airport - T2 and identifies it with Line 3 and airport connectivity. The airport's transport page lists airport Metro stations including T1 and T2. Both retrieved pages are undated. Read the terminal on your actual flight record and do not substitute the T1 station or another station with "Airport" in its name.
Those pages are location and operator-information leads, not a dated instruction for your airline's terminal entry. Confirm the exact date, terminal and destination within T2 before choosing an exit. Arrival-to-Metro travel needs its own signed approach; do not simply reverse departure directions.
Why a terminal label alone can send you to the wrong exit
In the live official station-page check on 6 November 2026, A1 and A2 displayed "OPEN" while B1 displayed "CLOSE". B1 still carried a Terminal 2 landmark label. The text-only page retrieval did not expose those status words, so reading only the landmark would have missed the warning.
This is an observation of the page during review, not a dated closure notice or a promise about your travel day. The inspected page did not establish when the closure began, when it ends, or the complete alternative route. Do not treat the terminal label as proof that B1 is usable. Recheck the current operator page and ask station staff which route is open.
The official notifications page was also reviewed, but it did not establish a dated T2 exit instruction in the material retrieved. Our review date does not supply an effective date for an undated access rule.
Separate historical links from today's complete walk
MMRC's 13 October 2024 integration release reports covered pedestrian canopies at the airport stations. That is historical primary evidence of an access feature, not proof of today's exact exit, bridge level or platform-to-check-in distance.
Later media descriptions discuss an A1 footbridge, but an applicable dated primary instruction for the complete present route was not recovered here. Exact exit-to-terminal turns, parking or terminal level, walking distance and lift chain remain unconfirmed in this guide. No route photograph or field inspection was created. We have not turned a reported bridge length into the traveller's total walk.
A suitcase-and-mobility handover sheet
This original worksheet helps you obtain a usable answer. It is not an official map or an inspected access certificate.
| Part of the journey | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| Flight and station | Actual flight terminal, travel date and CSMI Airport - T2 station. Keep departure and arrival directions separate. |
| Open exit | Current usable exit or lift entrance for the terminal route, with any closure or diversion. A landmark label is not enough. |
| Platform to street/link | Every lift or escalator, level change and any stairs. Ask for a lift-only route if stairs are unsuitable. |
| Terminal handover | Where the route actually reaches T2, then the remaining way to the required entry, airline counter or meeting point. |
| Bags and assistance | Who manages each suitcase; whether a trolley or help is available where needed. Do not assume a trolley or escort is waiting at the Metro exit. |
| Time and fallback | The whole walk, ticketing, waiting and terminal processes; an alternative if a required lift or route is unavailable. |
Suggested question: "We are arriving by Aqua Line at CSMI Airport - T2 on [date/time], with [people/bags] and [mobility need]. Which exit is open for T2 now? Please describe the complete route from platform to [required terminal entrance], including lifts and level changes. Where does it reach the terminal, and what is the fallback if a required lift is unavailable?"
Do not use a short connector as a flight buffer
A bridge or canopy is only one part of the journey. Count reaching the platform exit, finding the correct route, any waiting for lifts, handling bags and reaching the required airline process. Confirm the airline's actual deadlines separately. This article gives no universal Metro-to-flight minimum or protection if a separately planned journey runs late.
If a parent cannot manage the confirmed route, compare a road transfer to the correct terminal approach. Confirm the vehicle, luggage capacity, accessible boarding needs, drop-off and full price. A taxi can reduce carrying without guaranteeing traffic time or help inside the terminal.
If you first need to change from Line 1, read the Marol Naka ticket-boundary guide. For travel onward from the airport to a railway departure, the CSMT comparison covers a different, longer handover.
Reviewed 6 November 2026. Public official pages and the dated 2024 release were reviewed. Live station-page status is a snapshot only; current complete T2 access instructions remain unconfirmed without applicable dated primary evidence. No station visit, measured walk, luggage test, assistance booking or ticket purchase was performed.
