- Distance
- 3 km from Banswara city on Ratlam Road
- What is there
- Gardens, fountains, water bodies (Rajasthan Tourism)
- Hindi page adds
- Park, swings, pool, boating
- Steps, seating, ramps, restrooms
- Not published
Short answer: it is the closest sight to town, so it is the easiest to cut short. Whether it suits a senior depends on details that official pages do not give.
1. What is published
- The weir is on Ratlam Road, 3 km from the main city. It is worth visiting for its fountains, gardens and water bodies, and it overlooks Kagdi Lake as part of the Mahi Bajaj Sagar project (Rajasthan Tourism).
- The Hindi Rajasthan Tourism page adds a children's park, swings, a pool and boating.
- Incredible India says the weir is at its best in the monsoon, with cascading water and green surroundings.
2. What is not published
- Whether the paths are flat, paved or stepped.
- Seating and shade, restrooms, ramps, drinking water.
- Opening hours, entry fee and boating timings or prices.
We therefore cannot say it is step-free, and we will not guess.
3. A low-effort way to do it
- Short drive: 3 km means a short ride, which helps if travel tires a parent.
- Go in the late afternoon in winter, when it is cooler.
- Ask the driver to wait close by, so a parent can return to the car at any time.
- Treat boating as optional. Ask about the boarding steps and life jackets first.
4. Ask before you go
- Can the car come close to the garden or the water?
- Are there benches in shade?
- Is there a restroom, and is it usable?
- Are there steps down to the water?
