After landing at Mumbai Terminal 2, first identify the transport service you are actually using. A pre-booked private car, a particular app-cab product and a prepaid taxi need not share the same pickup point. “Go to the taxi floor” is not enough of a handover for a parent with luggage.
The airport’s current transport page is service-specific. Use it to understand the choices, then match the assigned ride’s current instructions with airport signs and staff. Do not send someone walking to a remembered parking level before you know which service will collect them.
What the airport table currently shows
Checked on 4 November 2026, the CSMIA transport page lists several T2 services at Level1 Ground Transportation, multi-level car park P4. Its table separately lists an Uber-branded row at multi-level car park P7 West, and Uber Green, Uber Black and Uber XL at Level2 Arrival west, multi-level car park P6.
These are the airport page’s published facility descriptions, not a promise about a particular assigned ride. Read the product name, not only the app brand. Do not convert “Uber” into one pickup floor for every option, or extend a listed taxi location to a private driver without asking.
Two official pages do not say exactly the same thing
The AdaniOne taxi FAQ still groups Ola and Uber under Terminal2 Arrival P4, while also listing fleet services at P6/P7. The more detailed airport transport table distinguishes services differently. Neither page showed a reliable publication or revision date for these details.
That disagreement is a reason to verify the actual pickup, not to invent a rule that one number always wins. If your booking instruction and a board point to different places, show the booking and service name to the transport desk or airport staff before changing levels. Ask them to identify the correct signed area for that ride.
Agree the pickup before splitting up
Send the provider the actual terminal, flight and local arrival date through your agreed booking channel. Ask for the passenger meeting point and the vehicle pickup point separately. A driver’s parking space and the place where a parent should wait may not be the same.
Get a plain answer: terminal, level or parking designation as used by that provider, which signed zone to follow, and how the driver or dispatcher will identify the traveller. Do not substitute a landmark from an old video or assume the same exit serves every transport choice.
If the traveller cannot use the app, arrange who will relay the assigned pickup instructions and changes. A relative elsewhere should not book a ride and then leave the passenger with only the driver’s first name. Keep a way for the parent and helper to reach each other that does not depend on an untested data connection.
Keep the passenger route workable
With an older traveller, ask staff about the suitable passenger route for the actual pickup, including lifts or assistance if needed. A parking designation is not a walking route. Do not follow vehicles down ramps, cut across traffic or move between parking areas based only on a pin.
Ask the driver to use an allowed collection point. If they ask the parent to walk somewhere different, clarify the new place with the provider and airport staff. A shorter drive for the car is not a good reason to give a tired traveller an unclear walk with bags.
Before entering the car
Match the vehicle and driver with the actual booking or dispatch information, and confirm the destination before loading all the luggage. If the details do not match, resolve it through the provider rather than accepting a stranger’s assurance that they are the replacement.
Ask about the total fare and any parking or waiting charges through the chosen service before agreeing to them. This article does not set a taxi fare, free waiting window or parking entitlement. It also does not promise that a particular route is step-free or that a driver can wait indefinitely at arrivals.
TripKeeper’s pickup handover
Our suggested family file records the service name, actual pickup instruction, provider contact, destination and who is responsible if the point changes. One person should own that follow-through. “Someone will be outside” is not a pickup plan.
The airport’s arrival guide distinguishes the arrival hall meeting role from transport in the multi-level car park and outside the terminal. Confirm the actual arrangement for your booking. This guide is about finding the correct T2 collection area, not transfer times to the city or directions between terminals.
Sources and freshness
Checked4November2026: CSMIA transport page, AdaniOne taxi FAQ and CSMIA arrival guide. These undated pages describe facilities; their differing pickup wording is preserved above. Current signs, your actual service instructions and staff clarification remain necessary. No aviation entitlement or fixed pickup guarantee is inferred.
