Here is the thing nobody tells you about flying into Busan: Gimhae airport is on the far west edge of the city and Haeundae is on the far east coast, so every transfer crosses essentially all of Busan. The four options each win a different situation - here is which one is yours.
Limousine Bus 1: simplest, with a timetable catch
The airport limousine relaunched in July 2025 and runs from the terminal curb through Centum City, BEXCO, Marine City and Dongbaek Island to Haeundae Beach and Jangsan - 9,500 won per adult, card only (no cash), about 90 minutes end to end (Busan City). If your hotel is near one of those stops, this is the no-transfer answer. Two catches. The service runs 07:10-21:40, about 21 buses a day - evening arrivals after 21:00 should not count on it. And between 09:10 and 15:30 the departures are the Gijang-bound buses, which do pass the Haeundae stops but on a thinner schedule - check the day's timetable before you plan around it.
Light rail + Line 2: the cheap and traffic-proof one
Under 3,000 won with a T-money card: the Busan-Gimhae light rail from Airport Station to Sasang, then Metro Line 2 east to Haeundae Station - roughly 70 minutes (Korea Tourism Organization), immune to road traffic, trains every few minutes. The honest trade-off is the transfer at Sasang: you carry your bags between platforms, and Line 2 at rush hour is crowded. One carry-on: easy. Two big suitcases, a stroller or tired kids: this becomes the hardest option on the list. Also note Haeundae Station is a short walk from the beach, not on it - check your hotel's distance from the exit.
Taxi and private van: the tired-family answer
From the official rank outside arrivals, a regular taxi to Haeundae runs about 25,000 won and 40-70 minutes depending on traffic (the airport's own estimate; deluxe taxis list at 45,000 won). Pre-booked private vans start from about 70,000 won and meet you inside arrivals - the fixed-price, zero-negotiation option for groups of four-plus with luggage after a long flight. Two things before you land: buy a T-money card at the arrivals convenience store even if you plan to taxi (you will want it from day two), and install Naver Map or KakaoMap - Google Maps does not give reliable directions in Korea. Have your hotel's Korean address screenshot for the driver. Sorting the Korea leg from India first?
