The IndiGo nonstop lands at Tbilisi at 22:45, which makes the airport transfer the first real decision of the trip. Tbilisi airport (TBS) sits 17km east of the centre, 20-40 minutes by car depending on traffic. Here is what each option costs, per prices checked in October 2026 (1 USD was about 2.60 GEL, so 1 GEL is roughly Rs 34).

Bolt or Yandex Go: the default

App rides run 25-35 GEL (about Rs 850-1,200) to the centre by day and 30-40 GEL after midnight - for the 22:45 arrival, expect the day rate plus a small night bump. Both apps work at TBS; Bolt has more cars. The pickup point is outside arrivals. This is the best option for most travellers at any hour, provided your phone has data - sort a Georgian eSIM or roaming before you land, because airport WiFi for the first OTP is the classic stumble.

The official airport taxi: the fallback

The official taxi desk inside the terminal charges a fixed 40 GEL to the centre and 50 GEL to the suburbs - confirm the fare before you get in. Use this if the apps fail or your card will not load them. What to refuse: the touts who approach you in the arrivals hall, who typically ask 50-100 GEL for the same ride. Walk past anyone who comes to you.

Bus 337: the daytime budget option

Municipal bus 337 runs from the stop in front of the arrivals hall to the city centre via Avlabari and Freedom Square, about 49 minutes on the timetable. Fare is 1 GEL (about 1.50 GEL charged on a foreign card) - but two catches: it only runs roughly 07:00-23:00, and it takes no cash; you tap a contactless Visa/Mastercard or phone wallet on board. Great for a daytime landing with light bags; irrelevant for the evening IndiGo arrival if delays push you past 23:00.

Before you land

Three checks: install Bolt and add a card; have data working on touchdown (eSIM or your Indian operator's Georgia pack); screenshot your hotel address in Georgian script - drivers read addresses, not brand names. For the flight itself, our Delhi-Tbilisi route guide has the details.
