Da Nang is one of Southeast Asia's better-value beach cities, and for an Indian couple the maths is friendly: roughly 300 VND to a rupee, so 100,000 VND is about 330 rupees. Here is what the on-ground budget actually looks like, line by line, using current published prices. Flights are separate and depend on your city; this covers everything after landing.
Hotels
Vietnam Tourism's national travel site puts a mid-range hotel at 600,000 to 1,200,000 VND per night for a couple (about ₹2,000 to ₹4,000), and budget guesthouses from 300,000 VND. In Da Nang, the My Khe Beach strip is where that mid-range money goes furthest: lifts, breakfast buffets and a flat promenade outside. Book breakfast-included rates; it simplifies mornings with parents.
Food
The same source prices meals for two at 60,000 to 120,000 VND for breakfast, 80,000 to 150,000 VND for lunch and 200,000 to 500,000 VND for a mid-range dinner with drinks. Added up, food for two runs about 340,000 to 770,000 VND per day (₹1,100 to ₹2,600), depending on how often you choose restaurants over street stalls. A bowl of pho costs 30,000 to 60,000 VND.
Transport
The airport-to-My Khe transfer costs 80,000 to 150,000 VND by metered taxi (our airport transfer guide has the full breakdown). After that, Grab hops around town are short and cheap, and most days need only two or three rides.
Activities
Marble Mountains: 40,000 VND entry plus 30,000 VND for the return elevator. The big-ticket day is Ba Na Hills: Sun World's 2026 price list charges 650,000 VND per adult, 550,000 VND for children 1 to 1.4 m and for seniors over 70, free under 1 m, and one 2026 ticket is valid for three consecutive days if you upgrade at the ticket office. The over-70 senior rate is real money saved for many families reading this.
What a day adds up to
Build a mid-range day for two from those pieces: a 900,000 VND hotel, about 500,000 VND of food, 150,000 VND of Grab rides and a modest paid sight, and you land around 1.8 to 2.2 million VND per day, roughly ₹6,000 to ₹7,300. A Ba Na Hills day adds about 1.3 million VND in tickets for two. Five comfortable days in Da Nang, excluding flights and shopping, sit near 9 to 11 million VND (₹30,000 to ₹37,000) for the couple.
Money practicalities
- Carry Dong in small notes for taxis, tickets and tips; cards work at hotels and bigger restaurants.
- Withdraw from bank ATMs rather than exchanging cash at the airport counter.
- Prices move in peak season (roughly June to August and Tet), so book the hotel early and keep the rest flexible.
